停流—荧光动力学分析法测定痕量钛的研究

利用自行组装的停流-荧光动力学分析仪,采用停流法汇合流体动力注入技术,研究了钛与3.5-二溴水杨基荧光酮的荧光增强动力学反应性质,讨论了流速、进样时间对方法灵敏度和精密度的影响,提出了一个快速、简便、精确测定钛的分析方法,并用于稀土样品及合成样品中痕量钛的测定.方法检测限为8×10~(-3)ppm,大多数元素的干扰均可用动力学方法消除.     

Charge plate technique in recoil study: Evidence for collection of recoil charged species from solid targets on metal electrodes

The occurrence of charge on recoil⁵⁶Mn produced by the (n,γ) reaction in polycrystalline potassium permanganate has been examined using the ‘charge plate technique’. From considerations of capture gamma ray decay schemes and internal conversion it appears that, in a condensed medium, the recoil atom develops charge after losing much of its initial kinetic energy which allows collection on charged electrodes. Preliminary findings were presented at the International Symposium on Radiochemistry and Radiation Chemistry, RC-41 BARC, Bombay, Feb. 4–6 (1991).     

Signal averaging in gas chromatography

Ensemble or signal averaging, and the use of the technique for the solution of some unique problems with minimum sample handling, have previously been reported. The capability of the technique has been evaluated with microbore gas chromatography for the fast handling of a large number of analyses: ca 20–30 replicate injections are easily attainable in a reasonable analysis time. The implementation of the signal averaging technique with other concentration techniques for improving detection limits is also demonstrated.

On a fast direct elliptic solver by a modified Fourier method

We describe high order numerical algorithms for the solution of second order elliptic equations in rectangular domains. These algorithms are based on the Fourier method in combination with a subtraction procedure. The singularities at the corner points, arising due to non-smoothness of the boundaries, are treated explicitly using properly constructed singular corner functions. The present algorithm is a generalization of the Fast Poisson Solver developed in our previous paper. This revised version was published online in August 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.     

Trefftz,collocation, and other boundary methods—A comparison

In this article we survey the Trefftz method (TM), the collocation method (CM), and the collocation Trefftz method (CTM). We also review the coupling techniques for the interzonal conditions, which include the indirect Trefftz method, the original Trefftz method, the penalty plus hybrid Trefftz method, and the direct Trefftz method. Other boundary methods are also briefly described. Key issues in these algorithms, including the error analysis, are addressed. New numerical results are reported. Comparisons among TMs and other numerical methods are made. It is concluded that the CTM is the simplest algorithm and provides the most accurate solution with the best numerical stability. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. q-positive definiteness and related operators

We are in progress of extending the family of ‘q-deformed operators’ considered in the previous papers by joining to them q-subnormal as well as q-formally subnormal ones. It turns out that q-positive definiteness, a notion generalizing Halmos' standard positive definiteness of bounded subnormal operators, is likewise central for our new scheme.     

Monotonic solutions of a quadratic integral equation of fractional order

In the paper we indicate an error made in the proof of the main result of the paper [M.A. Darwish, On quadratic integral equation of fractional orders, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 311 (2005) 112-119]. Moreover, we provide correct proof of a slightly modified version of the mentioned result. The main tool used in our proof is the technique associated with the Hausdorff measure of noncompactness.

On new generalizations of the Hilbert integral inequality

Some new generalizations of the Hilbert integral inequality by introducing real functions ?(x) and ψ(x). The results of this paper reduce to those of the corresponding inequalities proved by Gao [Mingzhe Gao, On Hilbert's integral inequality, Math. Appl. 11 (3) (1998) 32-35]. Some applications are considered.
